The venue was stylish, I loved the location right by the castle, old town, new town and Edinburgh Uni from here, close to all pubs, and bars restaurants, and landmark views. Thanks to the accommodating staff everything was very good, including lots of superb food. This hotel had a very central position right across the road from train station. Didn't like when it was rainy outside, went to Dixyland Chicken & Ribs to relax and grab some food.

The rooms were top-notch and well-designed with window overlooking grubby back alley, a pleasant view, wardrobes. Incredible location near to all the central attractions, and Edinburgh Waverley railway station and a cab rank, I felt safe. Also, Mary's Shell was 3 km away from the hotel. The champagne bar was trendy!

My room was top-notch and decent size on the highest floors. Having a hairdryer, soft bathrobes and fresh towels was a bonus. Its location at a moderate distance from Royal Mile was particularly good. The hotel itself was in a fairly nice area, right by sights -- one block up to Royal Mile or two blocks across to New Town and restaurants and shops, and the main train station.
